Dedicated In-house Sandblasting Booth

Our in-house Sand Blasting equipment includes a 25’ x 10’ x 8’ Booth, Heavy-duty Air Compressor, Compressed Air Dryer for moisture control, and a Blast Machine fitted with a filtered, pneumatic abrasive recovery system, all to ensure quality blasting operations. The Sandblaster shoots the abrasive over the part surfaces removing mill scale, surface rust, defects, and weld splatter, helping to prepare the substrate for adherance to the paint.

Power Wash, Rinse, & Pre-treatment

Our overhead conveyor guides metal parts through a multi-jet spray power wash and rinse to remove oils, grease, waxes, contaminates, and debris. With the surfaces well-cleaned, the next step applies an Iron Phosphate Pre-Treatment layer for rust and corrosion protection, as well as increased powder coating adhesion, all of which adds to the expected lifetime of the treated lot of parts. Treated parts are then sent to the Dryoff Oven to be evaporated of all moisture.

Overhead Conveyor Powder Coating Booth

After emerging from the Dryoff Oven, any needed masking is applied to the parts. The lot is then sent to the Powder Coating Booth for application of the chosen color & texture of powdered paint. (Optional primer layer available upon request.) Electrostatic Spray Process: Using compressed air, the paint particles are forced through the applicator gun giving them a positive charge and allowing them to evenly spread over all unmasked faces of the part which has been given a negative charge through grounding. The opposite charges attract causing the powder to attach to the exposed surfaces.

Temperature Controlled Paint Curing Oven

Once the sprayed powder layer has been applied, the parts are moved into the curing oven where heat causes the paint powder to melt and flow out evenly across the part surfaces, yielding an attractive, strong barrier coating that protects the metal beneath. The cured parts are removed from the oven to cool, and then they are wrapped and prepared for delivery.
